It also has excellent reminders for advanced players.

Besides Brunson the contributors include Bobby Baldwin, Mike Caro, Dave Sklansky, Chip Reese, and Joey Hawthorne. The book covers several other poker games besides No-Limit Hold’em. It is a classic that shows how the early players approached poker and is still a hot seller on Amazon.

This book is about the Fundamental Theorem of Poker. Although not a recent book, much of the information is timeless. These are the ideas that separate the experts from the average players. In addition to the Fundamental Theorem of Poker and how it should affect your play, the book discusses deception, bluffing, the slow-play, the value of position, psychology, game theory, implied odds, semi bluffing, and more. A great read and one that should be in any serious poker player’s library.

This classic by Mike Caro also deserves a place on the shelf of any serious poker player’s library. It is the first significant book on poker tells. Much of the information is still useful today. Caro goes into detail about when opponents are bluffing, and when they aren’t based on their mannerisms.
